Ópera, International Children’s Fashion Tradeshow – São Paulo

Ópera, the international children’s fashion and decor tradeshow, celebrated its 10th anniversary this fall/winter 2015 edition that took place in November. It is a wholesale event, and in the line up you will find the most significant national brands, plus some of the most notably international ones in Brazil.
Despite having some logistics and accommodation issues for being held in a brand new built space that looked somewhat unfinished, the fair is always a success in terms of ideas and design presented by excellent companies.
You will find below some brands I loved in this edition. And this will give you enough of an idea of what lies ahead for next year.

And this year, we somehow acquired even more candy than usual and I’m wondering what to do all this leftover Halloween candy…

I came up with three alternatives:

Exquisite Favor Bags at Cabbage and Fig

We just had Solène’s birthday party this last Sunday and I wish that I had known about these rocking favor bags (or party bags as they say in England) because favor bags are something that I really put a lot of thought into. And something that takes way too much of my time as I am always looking for something a little original and something that bypasses all those plastic little toys and candy! And most of all, I really like to see that the kids LOVE their bag. That they take home a sweet memory of the party and something to go back to and delve into.

Venice Biennale 2013 With Kids

To celebrate a birthday and see what the art world’s up to, we visited Venice – which is quite beautiful in October! (Okay, so a bit late posting this. But better late than never!)

We rented the third floor of the wonderful Palazzo Albrizzi in San Polo, close to the Vaporetto Station San Silvestro. If you go to Venice, you must take a watertaxi from the airport – you will never forget your first terribly decadent arrival in this wonderful Italian city. During our stay, we discovered the lagune and, of course, went to the Biennale. The entire city offers art in every form – from exhibitions at the Biennale pavilions, in palaces, museums and gardens! The kids enjoyed it more than I expected. Read More
