Now here is something very simple to make: Valentine’s Day Kid Friendly Dipped Pretzels! Yes, Valentine’s Day is almost here and if you are looking for something so easy to make that even the youngest kids can help with, here it is. Dipping is fun and there is so much you can do with the various sprinkles and the different colored chocolate dips. And if you want to be fancy, you can buy sweet bags at the craft store and they will look professional for gift giving.

Okay, here is something for all the chocolate aficionados. Just when I think I’ve seen and eaten almost every type of chocolate dessert, one with a new twist comes along. Sure, we’ve all had chocolate pancakes before, but these Hot Chocolate Pancakes take it to a whole new level with the fudge sauce and marshmallows on top. And these are so thick and cake like.
These are a creation of Tessa, so head on over to her blog to get the recipe. I’m actually going to make these tomorrow morning. If I could make them now, I would. But the girls would smell the chocolate and I would never get them to sleep!
Thanksgiving is here and I thought I would share this genius twist on pumpkin pies. Mini Pumpkin Pie Pops. They have all of the wonderful flavours of pumpkin pie in a cute little package. They are part pumpkin pie and part pumpkin cookie. And the really special thing is that lollipop stick baked into them. Things always look so much more adorable with a lollypop stick in them!
Here is the recipe on One Little Project.
And Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I think what we all need right now is to make delicious desserts that mix red and blue together. So, these Lemon Cupcakes With Fresh Blueberry Buttercream fit the bill completely. Now, the making of these cupcakes is a delicate thing and not as simple as they look but totally worth the trouble. They are 100% naturally colored with fresh blueberries. And they look so beautiful. You’ll need to practice making that swirl on top. Happy Bakin

Finally Autumn desserts like this Apple Crisp Stuffed Baked Apples. We have had the oddest weather here in NYC. Last week, we were reveling in an Indian Summer and then, all of a sudden, Autumn appeared in one fell swoop! So, of course, with Autumn, I’m attracted to Autumn desserts, especially ones involving apples like this one. Super easy of course. It seems that is a prerequisite for me choosing any recipe these days. And I’m convinced most of us moms are all looking for the same thing. So, here’s to a great way to use up those apples if you did get out to do the annual apple picking. Here was our trip from last year.
And here is the recipe for these beauties.
These Poison Apples for Halloween are completely stunning and look completely inedible but they are not! I’ve decided to start getting ideas for Halloween early this year. Unlike every other year, I would like to feel that it’s not all last minute and that we aren’t running out the door for all the festivities one minute after we’ve sorted out costumes!
In any case, the Poison Apples immediately caught my eye and I have to say, I don’t think I’ve seen these before, done so well with the actual branches and black/blue candy coating. If you want step by step on how to make these, go to Wannabite. There is even a video tutorial so you cannot fail at these!
Have a Bellissima weekend!
If you’ve been on Bellissima Kids for a while, you have probably picked up that I have quite a sweet tooth! Because most of the recipes on here are for desserts. And even though the girls and I cook many different things, we all love making desserts more than anything else. And this dessert is one that is probably almost too sweet for even myself… but I think I could venture to eat maybe one of these…okay two!
So, for all fellow sweet tooth owners, and (chocoholics), here you are. Salted Caramel Brownies. Here is the recipe which is of course, not very difficult at all. Comment below if you actually make these and let us know how they came out.
These Edible Teacup Cookies caught my eye and the girls are clamoring to make these. They are more about construction than actual cooking as these are no-bake cookies. And they actually look like a lot of fun to make. We will take these on for a birthday party special brunch.
